"Open Ears" Limited-Edition Giclée Print
"Open Ears" was painted in the midst of 2020 pandemic and the protests brought on by the killing of George Floyd. I remember thinking it was important to express opening my ears to hear black voices. This painting is small and the mouth of the figure is purposefully cropped out. Spinning anatomy around the ear serves to amplify sound and words to better listen.
